Introduction
When it comes to pointing devices there are only a few names that stand out in the enthusiast community. Names like Logitech, Razor, and Microsoft have invested a lot of time and effort into building a better pointing device and have constantly been re-inventing a simple device we call a mouse.
If you are a PC gamer you know how helpful it is to have a proper gaming mouse. Style, Comfort, and Precision are pivotal to ensure a lasting gaming experience. Let’s face it if you are unable to accurately move, aim, and shoot you’ll be fragbait in a matter of seconds.
In this review we will be looking at the new gaming mouse from SilverStone simply named, Raven. We were first introduced to the Raven at CES 2008 under the name of Sabertooth.

As you can see the design has not changed at all
The Raven, otherwise known as SST-RVM01B, is constructed from High-strength plastic with carbon fiber surfacing and 4 Teflon feet that make up the mousing surface. The primary left and right mouse buttons have a slight smooth rubber feel while the rest of the mouse body is a raw textured plastic. Carbon fiber makes up the heel section of the raven and is by far one of the most unique features of this mouse. .
As with all “real” gaming mice the Raven comes equipped with a laser optic comprised of a Philips twin-eye laser with resolution between 400 to 3200 DPI (dots per inch). This translates into extremely accurate tracking which is especially helpful when running higher screen resolutions.
The DPI range is not unique to this mouse; in fact many of the new top gaming mice use the same optic and feature a similar dynamic range.
