Ninja Hypothesis
Published: Tuesday, September 11, 2001 | By: DennisThe Ninja Hypothesis, a site not about ninja's but rather about movies.
"a tentative assumption, stating that any sample of entertainment could be improved by the inclusion, or addition, of one or more ninja, made in order to draw out and test its logical or empirical consequences. "
I cannot say I agree with his movie reviews but I can agree that some movies could benefit from the addition of Ninja's. -
P4 Chipset Review @ Tech-Report
Published: Monday, September 10, 2001 | By: DennisAs we all know Intel and Via have decided to sue each other over various things surrounding the Pentium 4. Via?s chipset, the P4X266, is based around DDR memory technology, Intel on the other hand now has two chipsets, one using PC133 SDRAM, the i845, and the other using Rambus DRAM, the i850.
The Tech Report has all of them and tells us how they perform. -

A Slight Snag in the AOL ATnT Cable Deal
Published: Monday, September 10, 2001 | By: DennisGood news indeed, CNN tells us that AOL Time Warner dropped the cable deal due to money problems. So it looks like another company bit the dust in the quest to have the AT&T cable network.
I just wish they didn't sell my node off to some local provider, worse service ever. -
Via Strikes at Intel with Countersuit
Published: Monday, September 10, 2001 | By: DennisIt would seem that VIA is in the mood to play hard ball with Intel saying that Intel's own chipset the 845 infringes VIA's patents among other things.
As I understand it this is what started it all.
"Via has already released its own chip set, the P4X266, that supports DDR, however the company has not obtained a license from Intel for the 400MHz bus used with the Pentium 4. The company maintains Intel does not have a patent that covers the bus." -
New News Features
Published: Saturday, September 8, 2001 | By: DennisI have added some new "features" to Ninjalane.com not to be confused with the features that you would find with Microsoft products but rather some eyecandy.
The first feature would be "Quoted text like this" followed by smiles so now I can add humor to the news. -

Does Linux need Microsoft??
Published: Friday, September 7, 2001 | By: DennisThis is a very interesting article that gets you thinking. I even thought back to a Linux special I saw in TV where the question was asked "When a driver doesn't exist how do you go about getting one?" The answer was something like "We will use a Microsoft version as a basis and port it over to Linux."
