After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    ThermalTake - Level 10

Level 10 is a joint design effort between BMW and Thermaltake to design a next generation case that not only expresses a leap forward in design but also addresses every basic requirement of the standard PC.

Level 10 was unveiled at the Thermaltake booth in typical fashion, the case was carefully covered while a BMW executive waited on the sidelines for his turn to speak.
We still had to wait a day to actually see inside the Level 10 but, it was worth the wait.  As you can imagine every component is separated into its own space which not only adds to the cost and style of the case but also helps the designer to determine the cooling requirements of each section.
The motherboard is vented by 2 120mm fans while each of the removable HDDs is cooled by a small fan and heatsink combo.  We were given permission to crash the demo computer by removing a harddrive and even though it had been running for the past 48 hours the drive was actually cold to the touch.
