DES down, AES up, encryption gets certified

It seems the folks over at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) have finally made a choice for replacing DES. Rijndael or "rain doll" is its name. The article talks about being unbreakable, but for the long broken DES and by extension Triple-DES, it is a big step forward. Remember the only unbreakable cypher is the One-Time Pad
