After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Cooler Master HAF X Case Review

Cooling Features Cont.
Cooler Master has stuck with using a large quieter 140mm fan for the back exhaust fan on the HAF X. This helps remove heat form the CPU/Voltage Regulator area.
The amount of room inside the case allows for some of the heatsinks to be mounted without any clearance issues. The 140mm and 200mm exhaust fans will ensure fresh air is always available.
Cooler Master has done away with using plastic tabs to hold in you expansion cards. Instead you will find reliable and secure thumbscrews to get the job done. The expansion slots themselves feature large ventilation holes for additional cooling. You will also find an extra slot to support some of the more unique triple and quad video card configurations.
The final cooling feature is this single 80mm fan mount that allows you to position the fan over the graphics cards and motherboard for more focused cooling. This can be used in place of the 120m card cooler we mentioned before, or even the 200mm fan located in the door. All of these cooling options help to reaffirm how serious Cooler Master takes cooling in the new HAF X.
