After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

The case also has tool-free expansion slot latches that snap down into place.  We had some issues with these in relation to heavier cards.  Seems the additional stress would pop the pivot out of place making the latch loosen up. The easy solution is to remove the plastic latch and use a trusty old case screw.
There are some extra ventilation holes near the 7 slot bays which allow air to enter as needed   Excessive ventilation like this is important in low airflow cases such as the Sileo 500 to help enforce a natural convention between the cooler air at the bottom and the warmer air at the top.  The rear fan and PSU will help get this convection going but nothing can replace a few extra fans modded in strategic locations.
There are a few cable routing channels around the case but nothing that will help you hide excess cables.  Small rubber feet help keep the Sileo upright and are smooth enough to be pushed around without too much effort.
