After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

SilverStone Fortress FT01 Case Review
Author: William West

Introduction
Casemodding can take many forms sometimes it’s a simple fan installation and other times it’s the construction of a completely new panel. However the best mods are when case manufacture revisits a particular design to improve things that were lacking in the original.
In this review we will be looking at another awesome case from SilverStone called the FT01, the case is a major modification of the classic TJ07 and is designed to be smaller, stronger and provide better overall cooling.

The FT01 is Uni-body type case that is folded from single piece of heavy aluminum. This not only gives the front panel its very unique rounded look but also makes the case extremely strong.
On the backside of the SilverStone FT01 is very typical and from this vantage point also proves that this case is entirely black.
The SilverStone FT01 comes in 4 variations much like the TJ10 we reviewed some months back. There are two basic colors, silver or black. SilverStone also offers versions with and without windows for those folks that would rather not show off their high-end hardware.
Below are some quick specs specific to the FT01. For a complete list of features please consult the SilverStone website.
