After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com
VapoChill Impressions

Tour of the case
Tour of the case
This is the VapoChill Premium Edition, S478 Titanium case. What you can't see very well from the photos is that the front of this case is huge in comparison to your standard mid tower case. The sides and front are curved with really no flat areas anyplace. The external 5.25" drive bay covers are even numbered since they are all different sizes.
For this review I'll be using an Antec PLUS660AMG for a size and construction comparison. As you can see the VapoChill case is quite a bit taller and wider than the Antec case. This is due in part to the chiller unit located at the top of the case.
The VapoChill system does not lack in parts or documentation. The papers I got were loosely folded together (a reproduction of the original) but contained all of the needed information to install and configure your computer.
These are the heating elements used to help limit condensation; each element has a sticky side to help hold them in place
Closed cell foam is used throughout the installation procedure and serves two purposes, a vapor barrier and insulation. The foam fills the air voids near the processor and keeps the cold in and airborne water out. Each of the pieces is cut to fit making installation a snap.
You also get a nice bag of hardware with everything needed to get things up and running.
