After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

Benchmarks - Overclocked
Overclocking
Despite the vast majority of overclocking options in the 8RDA+ bios it doesn't seem to be a very strong overclocker. The board will run all day long at 166Mhz FSB but could only attain 190Mhz using the same bios settings I used on the Soltek SL-75FRN-L and even then it wasn't really 100% stable. I have heard of numerous voltage modifications that are supposed to fix this overclocking issue by increasing the chipset voltage, but not being one to mod a review board in this manner I decided to pass on the project.
The results below show both boards running at 166Mhz FSB. The other set of benchmarks has the Epox at 190Mhz FSB while the Soltek shows off at 200Mhz FSB.
Wcpuid 166Mhz
Wcpuid 190Mhz
SiSoft Sandra @ 166Mhz / 190Mhz
2x256 Corsair Platinum TwinX DDR400 - Running synchronous with the FSB speed.
Again as expected the Soltek SL-75FRN-L pulls ahead due to the higher clock speed.
