After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com
DFI Infinity nF4 Ultra Motherboard Review

Bios Features
The Infinity BIOS is very similar to what you would find on any standard LanParty motherboard which makes many of the tweaks and performance enhancements interchangeable between the two lines.
Below are some screenshots of the more interesting screens. Our only concern with the vast ocean of features is that it is not apparent as to what each setting does, if it does anything at all. For example when setting the memory clock and timings there is an option for "Memclock Mode" and can be toggled between "Limit" and "Update" the help list says "the frequency is further limited by the value specified" which is of course not helpful and our research indicated that it has not noticeable effect.
Editor Rant
I remember back in the day user manuals would actually talk about the options found in the BIOS, I even remember some motherboards from times past that would even tell you what each setting did as part of the BIOS help. Granted extra BIOS features take up space so a line has to be drawn somewhere.
