After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. Soltek SL-K890Pro-939 Review w/ PCI Express

Conclusion
Throughout the review process the general impression of this board has been very favorable. Soltek has made quite a few improvements with the SL-K890Pro-939 that compliment the new chipset and make the motherboard very enthusiast friendly. Some of these improvements include the well designed power supply and processor package that easily accept a wide variety of cooling solutions. The fan header near the Northbridge is also a welcome addition for those that desire active cooling. From a layout and design standpoint we have no major complaints and ,as always, the matching colors of the connectors and accoutrements are a nice touch for the design oriented casemodder.
Manuals and BIOS were easy to understand and provided all the information needed to get the system installed and running smooth. Real world performance also showed a distinct increase over the previous Soltek 939 offering that we reviewed. While we love to say that PCI Express played a major factor in this increase we cannot ignore the role our Chaintech 6600GT played. Overclocking this board is not difficult, and performance increase made a significant difference in our real world benchmarks.
We would also like to mention that Soltek was actually first to market with a VIA K8T890 offering. While this was originally due to a slight delay in the ASUS offering the result was the SL-K890Pro-939 sitting all alone on retail shelves.
