After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Testing
At NinjaLane we try to make the best of testing equipment in our reviews. To our readers we will say that we do not have the proper equipment to give you complete tests of every ripple to power flux in this PSU. Still, the SilverStone ST60EF PSU is going to be loaded next to a case with these PC components in the list below. For the testing we will be running the new game Crysis: Warhead to push the power envelope on this system to see how it survives. This test will be run for 30 minutes. I will also be watching the overall power draw to make sure we are pushing the SilverStone ST60EF PSU to it's limits of at least 480watts. This is the 80% load that is allowed on a 600 watt PSU

The SilverStone ST60EF PSU not only delivered on its ability to handle this load, but it did so while only kicking the fan up to a whisper. During the real-time gaming tests the SilverStone ST60EF PSU performed beautifully even after the room temperature was elevated to an 85 degree average.
