Overclocking
With any new piece of hardware everyone wants to know how much more you can get from it. In terms of overclocking we did not find the limit of the GeForce GTX 275, Instead we wanted to see if we could get close to or even surpass the speeds of the GeForce GTX 285.
Ideally given that the GTX 275 uses a very similar core we should get the same speeds as what you would find in the GeForce GTX 285. Memory wise we just shot for something higher than the top factory overclocked GeForce GTX 260.

We had no problem breaking the speed barrier of the GTX 285 on the GTX 275. With a core reaching 700MHz with extreme ease. Then dialing in a good round number on the memory of 1200MHz which is 2400MHz effectively is a nice touch. We played a few game to see if the slight speed bump up would do that much for performance.
Running UT3 in the highest mode with 2560 x 1600 is demanding, but add some more speed from the overclock and the results do show. Overclocking the GeForce GTX 275 gives a free performance jump. There is nothing to complain about there.
The overclocked results show some very good results for bumping up the overall game experience here. FEAR 2 takes a healthy jump on the frame rates. That is a good reason to push the envelope and get some free performance out of the GeForce GTX 275.
