After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

Left 4 Dead 2
With flesh eating zombies coming after you in endless waves Left 4 Dead 2 does push your hardware beyond what is seen in most games. The storyline is simple; you and 3 survivors are dropped into the middle of a zombie apocalypse and must find safety among the hordes of dead.
Left 4 Dead 2 is based on DirectX 9 technology and plays well on a variety of hardware

The settings in the game were set to high with anisotropic Filtering set to 16x, and no Anti-Aliasing was turned on.
L4D2 is a very forgiving game based on an older game engine and plays quite well on everything. As the charts the Sapphire Radeon HD5450 did quite well at the lower resolutions giving us a very playable gaming experience with lots of zombie killing carnage.
