After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

    Introduction

The ThermalTake Element series is comprised of a single chassis design that has customized for a specific purpose.  We have recently looked at the Element S chassis which featured silent cooling and smooth elegant lines.  In this review we will be looking at the new Element G and as you can imagine the "G" stands for gaming and is designed for the gamer enthusiast.

The TT Element G is a mid tower case with cooling features that rival the larger workstation cases.  The case comes with a total of 4 fans.  2 x 200mm fans, 1x 230mm fan and a single 140mm fan located at the back of the case.  All of these fans are controlled by a front mounted fanbus and can go from 0 to 800rpm in a flick of the wrist.

From a design perspective the TT Element G resembles a couple different cases in our recent history. Of course the Element S is a heavy favorite given the awesome finish and red accent on the side panels. Then the mesh front is a strong reminder of the V9 series gaming cases.  Both of these cases we have reviewed in the past so please feel free to check them out.
From the back of the case you can see the single 140mm fan and placements for 2x 60mm fans.  These small fans can be used to enhance cooling over your video cards or to just annoy you with their loudness.  You may also notice that the back of the case painted black.  This is a nice change from the norm and shows the level of detail ThermalTake as put into the Element series.
