After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Cooling Features

When moving into the cooling portion of the review we find one of the strong points of the Element G, Fans, Fans, Fans.  Cooling is a strong point with the TT Element G but there is more to cooling than just adding a bunch of fans.

The Element G has gone the route of keeping good cable management a priority in order to help the overall airflow high. Here we see all the wires and the fan cables put together and out of the way to promote good cable management. All of the preinstalled fans cables are covered with black sleeving.
Here we get to see the front of the case, and the 200mm LED fan on the door. The fan brings in fresh air to the video card, motherboard, and processor area of the case.
Behind the front mesh panel sits the large 200mm LED fan that we saw earlier in this review.  The fan brings fresh air over the hard drive area and to get the air flowing towards the PSU as well.  Given that you can install 2 x 120mm fans in this location it is possible a dual fan radiator may also fit.
Exhaust fans are located at the top of the case in the traditional "blowhole" location and at the back of the case near the processor.  The top fan is a 200mm LED unit while the back fan is larger than normal at 140mm.
As was mentioned earlier there are 2x 60mm fan placements located above the expansion slots.  ThermalTake has added these as way to increase airflow over your video cards and for the Element cases without a door mounted fan these might come in handy.  However on the Element G it would not be recommended as the 230mm fan mounted in the door will provide more than enough airflow.
Here is one more view of the 140mm exhaust fan, the placement also supports 120mm fans making it really easy to install single fan radiators when needed.
