After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Keyboard Layout and Features Cont.

The back of the keyboard features rubber feet and will rise about half an inch on retractable lifts.  There is included storage for the fan and a cable run for the detachable USB cable as seen here.

I am not sure I am sold on a separate cable but the ability to replace a damaged cable sounds better than a new keyboard.  The included cable is 2 meters long and has gold tips, a Velcro tye and a braided sleeve.
The back of the Challenger Pro includes a set of USB 2.0 ports.  As you can see form the label, the ports are not powered and are not intended to replace a USB hub.  They will however support a good set of USB headphones and a USB stick.  That's all I really find I need to have handy most days.
One of the most unique features of the Tt eSPORTs keyboard line is the inclusion of a detachable 30mm hand cooling fan.  The fan can be placed above the left or right side of the keyboard and pushes up to 2.7 CFM.  The fan is rated at 21.7 dB and in practice is not audible over a typical performance PC.  I am not the sort of gamer that sweats excessively even after a long session of tournament play but the fan feels nice and is not distracting.
The Challenger Pro also comes with a key removal tool and a set of snazzy red keys to replace your common movement keys.  Replacing these keys may not help your game but it sure does look cool.  Tt also includes dummy keys to replace your Windows keys.  This will prevent your accidental toggling of these keys during game play.  It's a nice touch but I have grown spoiled by the switch on my G15.
