Conclusion
A good keyboard is like a good set of tires for your car. Your performance is only as good as how the rubber hits the road. The Challenger Pro may not be the most expensive keyboard out there but it's a marked improvement over the sad 101 setups most Gamers use and the price point is nice. The short stroke and the abrupt wrist rest may make it a bit harsh for your "work system" though. Using the Challenger Pro over a week of pretty solid gaming really helped me to get used to the crisp feel of the keys and the reach for the macros. Now my G15 feels a bit sluggish in comparison.
I really liked the simplicity of the macro software and the ability to switch profiles from the keyboard. The fan may not have a noticeable effect in my case but it's a nice addition that makes the Challenger series stand out. Overall the only thing missing is the multimedia screen I love from my G15. Perhaps that will be in the next generation.
If you are still using a typical 101 keyboard for gaming you owe it to yourself to check out the Challenger Pro. After all, you only perform as well as your fingers work the keyboard.
