After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Benchmarks Synthetic
The test systems are not a direct comparison on a few levels but will give you a good cross section on how the 1090T Black Edition compares across different chipsets and a low-end Core processor.

SiSoft Sandra
Sandra is a software collection of synthetic benchmarks that will give us a basic idea as to what a system is capable of. It should be noted that SiSoft's numbers change depending on which version you have installed. These were recorded using Sandra Professional Business Version 2010.1.16.11
Synthetic Conclusion
Synthetic performance never really tells the entire story, but is a good indication of what the system is capable of doing under the right conditions.
The results are about what we had expected, in terms of raw CPU performance all of the systems are about the same. The 1090T pulls ahead when it comes to multi media performance and the Core i5 750 takes the lead in memory bandwidth. The only real surprise here is the drop in memory bandwidth between the Foxconn A88GMX and 890FX reference system. Normally this is due to relaxed memory timings in the bios for greater system compatibility.
