After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

The onboard power supply is of a 3-phase design that uses the Pentium 4 12v power connector for added stability.
The DFI LanParty NFII Ultra comes with a wide variety of options to hook up your IDE harddrives. One of them is this Highpoint RAID controller that supports 0, 1, 1+0, and 1.5 (which is a type of 2 drive striping + mirroring combo)
Above the RAID drive connectors you will notice a Serial ATA port. The LanParty NFII Ultra only supports a single drive in Serial ATA and shares a channel with the primary IDE controller. Basically this means that if you want to use the Serial ATA connector you can't use the Primary Master IDE channel.

The ATX connector is pretty straight forward, pictured here are the dual LAN ports, 4 USB, sound, Serial, Parallel, and PS/2 ports. What you won't see are the extra connectors for the FrontX and optional sound inputs that are scattered around the motherboard in a pin header format.
