After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

DFI LanParty Dark X48 Motherboard Review

Conclusion
This is it. The time we have all been waiting for. After taking a good look at the DFI LP DK X48 T2R we found that it has performance, overclocking, and value. We can easily say that it’s worth the money. Yes, the X48 version is not a giant jump from the X38. Still in the end it is good to see a lower priced X48 board on the market that can take your hardware to the limit, without doing the same to your budget.
The great part is that the LP DK X48 T2R is 2x 16x PCI-Express 2.0 slots for full speed Crossfire action. Then you throw in the ability to use a lower priced Q6600, and jump start it to much higher speeds than default. Well this is just incredible and still keeping the budget just right. This is what the LP DK X48 T2R is all about. Lots of big action for less money compared to others.
So here goes to DFI for making a motherboard that is of great quality. Using analog 4 phase power technology to keep the price down. Still making the LP DK X48 T2R just as good, or even better than other board makers.
