After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

RadEX
The ZNF3-150 uses a specially designed 4-phase power supply that comes with a special cooling device called RadEX. As some of you may know 4-phase power supplies tend to run hotter than the smaller and more common 3-phase designs and more heat tends to lead to lesser stability. RadEX, or Revolutionary Active Direct EXhaust, is a very simple device that is designed to cool the Mosfets in the power supply, the heat is then vented out and away from the computer. The photos show a complex heatsink with the heatpipe being embedded in the bottom under a thermal pad. The device was very quiet and appeared to work quite well.
Onboard GigaLAN by Broadcom, Gigabit is becoming more common on high-end motherboards these days even if GigaSwitches are still overpriced. The VIA chip gives the board 7.1 digital sound.
The ATX connector is pretty simple, RadEX exhaust is located under the PS/2 ports and you should be able to identify the other items.
