After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com
Chaintech Zenith ZNF3-150 Motherboard Review

Included Features
The Zenith and Apogee series motherboards are famous for all of the extra included goodies, the motherboard box is larger than most with most of the stuff residing under the motherboard tray.
The motherboard comes with two user manuals, a foldable quickstart guide and the user manual seen here. The manual has a very nice "thunk" factor due to the 6 languages of content though sadly each section of the book comes in 6 languages so you have to skip over 5 of them just to find the next part.
Cables galore, and all color coordinated to match the motherboard. With the ZNF3-150 you get 2x ATA133, 1x Floppy, 4x SerialATA, 4x SerialATA power plugs, and ATX backer plate.
Here we have the CMR media card and a few other items including that tube of thermal compound that I talked about. The CBOX3 front panel kit is quite amazing with provisions for front mounted access to USB, Firewire, Headphone, Microphone, DigiDoc System Display, and a 6 in 1 card reader.
The CBOX3 comes with 3 interchangeable panels that should color match to 90% of the cases out there, (beige, silver, and black).
The CMC (Chaintech Multimedia Card) integrates many of the multimedia features into one covenant card including extra Firewire ports and optical audio connection.
