Thermaltake Evo Blue 650Watt Power Supply Review

Product and Features
The Thermaltake Evo Blue 650 Power Supply comes with all of the features you need in an enthusiasts level PSU. It features modular cabling consisting of four PCI-E power cords with support for four 6 pin cards or two cards with the 8+6 pin requirement. There is also 6 std. molex as well as a floppy type molex (small 4 pin). They are divided up on two separate cables with 3 on one and the other 3 plus the small 4 pin on the remaining cable. The SATA power has two cables also with 3 plugs on each cable.
In the Picture to the right you will notice the different color codings for the various power cords. The VGA power area is on the left with four separate cords, 2 for 8-pin and 2 for the 6-pin plugs. Also included in the kit is a pair of 8 to 6-pin adapters for using four six pin plugs.
This is a more elegant solution in our opinion compared to some of the other methods PSU makers employ. All of the VGA cables come with a ferrite choke to help capture the electric "noise" that is generated.

As you can see in the above picture the PSU also comes with a vibration isolating mounting gasket which is actually very effective at helping dampen the vibration produced by the PSU. The package also includes a nice pouch to store the unneeded Power cords when not in use. This is a great accessory given the primary reason behind getting a modular power supply. It is much easier to keep the wiring neat when half of it is stored in a pouch on your shelf.
For the cables you do need to have in the case Thermaltake has included 4 velcro tie backs to help contain the cabling in an orderly bundle.
