After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Layout and Features

The Silverstone SST-FP35-B is loaded with features including what is currently very rare, the most unique is this +12v/+5v pass through for external storage devices.
When you open the box, you can see the unit in it's bag and a 4 pin(molex) power source connector.
Once everything is taken out of the box, the first thing you notice is how many connections it actually has.  Here we see an abundance of cables for firewire, HD & AC '97 audio, and USB headers as well as the power connectors for external storage. Also in the box you get mounting screws, extra front-plate and the manual.  The manual is a large foldout-style instruction guide with pictures for each step which is also provided in 9 languages.
Pictured above are all the cables which are included, all labeled, and with two types of firewire and audio plugs
Here you can see the reader in all its glory. The SD/MMC/xD/MS card slot, the CF/MD card slot, the firewire(1394) port, USB port, e-SATA port, microphone and audio jacks, and the +12v/+5v power outputs.

Now lets move on to usage.
