After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Gigabyte Radeon HD5770 Video Card Review

The most unique part of the Gigabyte HD 5770 is the heatsink and fan shroud. The shroud design resembles the Batmobile from the old 60's (that would be the Adam West Batman from the television series.). The heatsink itself is finned aluminum with a large 80mm fan to keep things cool and quiet.
The other awesome part of the heatsink is that it uses a solid copper slug in the middle on the 5770 core to quickly remove heat. Once again making the Gigabyte Radeon HD 5770 run much cooler than other manufactures.
If the Batmoblie look is not your thing, Gigabyte understands and gives you the opportunity to change out the cooler in favor of an aftermarket unit. Simply remove the 4 screws and away you go.
Another part of the Ultra Durable VGA program is to use true high-end tier 1 manufacture memory. The Gigabyte Radeon HD 5770 comes equipped with Samsung GDDR5 ram for that added boost in performance.
Included goodies are pictured below. You will get a multi-language manual and a CD-Rom with drivers to get you up and running.
You also get an analog VGA adapter, Crossfire Bridge, and power adaptor.
