Card Layout and Features
The board layout is pretty typical of a mainstream video card, the PCB is small and features a rather large heatsink to handle cooling and is slightly oversized so a quiet slow spinning fan could be used. This helps keep the noise down but destroys any chance of a single slot video card installation.
Speaking of cooling this Sapphire card features the typical spring mounted cooler with mounting points surrounding the GPU. You will also notice larger mounting holes along the outer edge of the memory chip ring. It is safe to say you have plenty of mounting options when it comes to custom coolers and memory heatspreaders.
As with most ATI Radeon video cards the HD 5670 supports Crossfire technology. Here we have the 2 gold finger connectors that make hardware Crossfire possible. If the gold fingers happen to be are missing then you won't need to use the bridge interconnect to enable CrossFire, instead you will be making the link using a software connection.
