Sapphire Radeon HD5670 Video Card Review

Judging a midrange video card can be a difficult thing especially when it comes to gaming and other 3d specific applications.  Overall our experience with the new GPU was excellent.  Drivers installed without any issue and Benchmarks ran without a hitch.  Pretty much all you can ask for in a product.  There are of course some aspects of this product that we couldn't test before this review went live including Eyefinity and gaming resolutions above 1680 x 1050.  However in the big picture any gaming you would do at resolutions above 16x10 would warrant you buy a higher-end video card for the best gaming experience.  That's not to say it cannot be done, for instances in previous reviews the Radeon HD 4670 gamed quite well at 19x12 but was considerably slower than you would expect.

One of the biggest features of the Radeon HD 5670 is the inclusion of triple monitor support and Eyefinity Technology.  Despite the fact that lower screen resolutions are required to run Eyefinity on the HD 5670 that shouldn't detract from the flexibility that a triple monitor desktop brings to everyday productivity and leisure time entertainment.  Combine that with smooth HD video playback and minimal system requirements and you have an excellent candidate for any midrange system or multimedia PC.
