After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

Overclocking
Our overclocking tests consist of finding the maximum stable clockspeed and re-testing a select number of benchmarks to determine a level of performance gain.
The maximum card clock was 840Mhz / 1325Mhz which also happens to be the maximum allowed by CCC. At the time of this review none of the preferred overclocking programs such as Afterburner or Sapphire TriXX were available for testing.

3DMark Vantage
Unigine Heaven
As you can imagine we have a healthy boost of performance across the board however the maximum performance could not be realized using the AMD Overdrive. On a positive note these clocks were completely stable for us and likely will be the case for every reference HD6950 card on the market.
