After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com
Antec SX635 Case Review - A Case Modders Perspective

When building a computer one of the most overlooked items is the enclosure. Specifically what
type and style of case will best work for your newly built computer. So you begin to comb the net, looking at reviews of
popular case designs and even browse over to a few case mod galleries to see what everyone else is or isn't using.
The trouble in this is simple, case reviews will give you the specs on a case and show a few photos here and there, nothing
really spectacular. Casemod galleries tend to show the mild to extreme case mods but don't
really tell you how well they work or if the mod was built just for show. This is where our review will be
different, a case review from a case modders perspective.
From the outside the Antec SX635 looks like their other performance series cases. Intergrated 3.5
floppy bay, external 5.25 bays above and the unique vented design below. Some of you may or may not know this but these
cases are actually built by Chenming Molding Company in China then later resold by Antec under their name.
This is actually quite common, for instance this Global WIN case is
actually built by our good friends at Freeway quite some time
ago.
