After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com
Antec SX635 Case Review - A Case Modders Perspective

Internals - Motherboard Tray
Case Clearances
Moving along to the other side of the case we see that the included tray is a single solid piece of
metal. This alone will increase the lateral strength of the case but also limits the amount of cooling you can
push behind the motherboard.
The possibilities for mods on this side of the case are somewhat limited. There is plenty of clearance for a 1/4inch piece of acrylic so a window could be installed. There is also room for "bunnybox" style fans but holes will need to be cut into the motherboard tray for this to work.

Many of the other Antec SX635 case reviews that I've read claim that the cross bar is just extra baggage and
should have been removed. In a way I would agree but, I also know why its there. The SX635 is really exactly like
the other cases in this series just shorter. So it seems reasonable that instead of retooling the manufacturing
line you just lop off a bay or two and use the same drive cage. On the plus side there is plenty of space left for
windows, lights and fans so really the bar doesn't bother me.
