After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. QNAP TS-219P NAS Review

Conclusion
When it comes to a cool feature packed Network Attached Storage device you'll be hard pressed to find anything more versatile than the QNAP TS-219P NAS. It comes with a whole laundry list of features specific to the task of serving up files but also for serving up other things like web applications, multimedia content, dynamic database content and even downloading files over BitTorrent.
In terms of hardware the QNAP TS-219P is very well equipped with a low power Marvell 1.2Ghz processor, 512megs of DDR2 memory and 16Megs of Flash. The NAS supports 2x 3.5" or 2.5" hard drives with the supporting RAID configurations of JBOD, 0 and 1. You can also expand your storage options by using the new iSCSI feature
QNAP has also included the ability to turn this NAS appliance into an application server. Applications vary from simple things like downloading BitTorrent files so complex things like serving up dynamic content from Joomla! and MySQL. Some of the other applications include a Surveillance Station, iTunes Service, and UPnP Media Server to name a few.
