After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

System Tools has some of the options people really look for on a NAS. Here you can do things like setting up Backup/Restore, tweaking logos, enable remote access, system updates and even the configuration of alert notifications if any problems happen to come up.
The last page of system configuration is comprised of a system log that displays all sort of hardware information from logins to overall connections. It even gives you the temperature of each hard drive.

Next we will move thru the included applications and you'll see some of the fun stuff the QNAP TS-209 Pro II Turbo NAS can do.
