After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain.  I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain.  If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.

Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com

    Benchmarks Halo

Halo is a very demanding game in terms of what hardware is needed. The levels are rather large and consist of a combination of very small corridors to large terrain enhanced spaces. The game uses DirectX 9 and requires that AA and AF be controlled by the game. In this instance the default game parameters where chosen with Vsync off.
The results of the level were not unexpected, with XFX coming in fastest of the three. Despite the additional clock speed the game was rather unplayable at 12x10 with some noticeable slowdowns at 10x7.
