After careful consideration I have decided to transfer all hardware review activities to a new domain. I purchased Hardwareasylum.com in 2012 and have been working hard to build a new and improved Ninjalane on that domain. If you are reading this you have reached one of the archived articles, news, projects and/or reviews that were left behind during the site migration.
Please update your bookmarks and be sure to visit the new and improved Ninjalane at Hardwareasylum.com
XFX 5700 Ultra Dual DVI DDR3 Review

Overclocked
As was shown before the XFX FX 5700 Ultra is a "factory overclocked" video card and unlike the Gainward or Chaintech cards there is no "automatic overclocking" feature or enhanced drivers that alter the core and memory frequency. So with the Auto Detect button failing to achieve the desired effect the only option left is to manually overclock the card and the results are quite amazing.
The settings shown (566/1100) was the highest stable overclock attainable before any artifacts or tearing would appear. To reaffirm the stability a good 6 entire levels of FarCry were played over 2 days with no issues to report.
